Salutegenics Psychology will be delivering a two day retreat on Brain Fitness. We will partner with Kieser Australia and DRIVEN to build an overall functional approach to the development of strength and wellbeing.
The MindFit Retreat is a two day learning course on mental fitness. It will bring together a kaleidoscope of information, energy and activities. It will apply the lens of hope, optimism and human health. The last two years have challenged our understanding of human resilience and we have found ourselves drawn into the vortex of worry, rumination and helplessness. The retreat will offer a paradigm shift in perspective and mindsets. The human form is really well designed for optimal function, and has evolved to deal with disruption; it’s part of our evolutionary heritage. We have wonderful recovery and resilience capacity. This retreat will create a platform to engage and ignite the resources you already have, and then add to your skillset to make improvements needed to just be better.
This invitation is open to any adult who is interested in learning about the foundations of wellbeing. It is for people who want to develop skills to improve wellness capacity. The retreat also welcomes people who lead and develop cultures of growth and positive health within their communities and workplaces. The retreat extends this invitation into networking opportunity, connecting with open minds and sharing of ideas with curious inquiry.
You will learn the 6 domains of neural resilience, and the opportunity to explore your own levels and strengths. You will gain insight into the biology of stress and recovery, and how this plays out in our intentions and behaviours. We will link mind health to body function, and how our organs have a vital role to play in helping the brain process information about our environment.
We will investigating the science of optimism, movement and sleep. You will have the opportunity to apply highly effective and simple strategies that are in line with neuroscience research. You will map activation sites of resilience in the brain and apply the practical activities and strategies to buffer against mental ill-health.
The conference will explore insights into latest Australian statistics, to better understand the psychology that underpins wellness lifestyles.
Yes. The conference content is based on the PR6 model of Neural Resilience which uses the most current statistical data on national levels of resilience and mental health. There will also be significant contributions taken from Polyvagal Theory, Emotional Intelligence and Affective Neurobiology. Strategies will include well researched tools from Dr Stephen Porges, Professor Barbara Fredrickson, Professor Selena Bartlett, Professor Richard Davidson, Dr Daniel Siegel, Professor Andrew Huberman and other frontline researchers in human mechanics and mind health.
All participants will receive direct access to all research articles and studies from the conference.
