What is a SOMA Circuit?
Grounded in neuroscience, psychology, compassion science and salutogenesis, SOMA Circuits provide a structured approach to collective Neuro-Reflection, creating space for teams to pause, regulate, reflect and make meaning together.
A Space for Collective Neuro-Reflection
A SOMA Circuit is a confidential, co-facilitated Neuro-Reflective space designed for teams and leaders to explore shared experiences, workplace challenges and the conditions influencing how people think, feel and work together.
Rather than moving immediately into problem-solving, SOMA Circuits create space to slow down, notice what is happening, listen to different perspectives and develop greater collective clarity.
The focus is not on fixing individuals. It is on strengthening the biological, psychological and social resources that support mental fitness, resilience, connection and psychologically safer workplaces.
Like SOMA Spheres, the approach is grounded in salutogenesis, moving beyond deficits and towards the resources that help people and teams experience their work as more comprehensible, manageable and meaningful.
How SOMA Circuits Work?
SOMA Circuits create space for teams to slow down, name what is happening and develop shared understanding.
Rather than rushing to fix a problem, participants are supported to explore workplace experiences with curiosity and compassion. When people can speak honestly without fear, thinking can expand, different perspectives can emerge and teams can begin to see their workplace more clearly.
Importantly, individual confidentiality is protected. SOMA Circuits don’t report people, they identify patterns. These collective insights can help organisations better understand what may be occurring across workload, resourcing, leadership behaviours and culture, supporting more informed upstream decisions. And a Circuit does not need to end with a neat solution. Often, the value continues afterwards, as people reflect, connect the dots, expand their perspective and discover new ways of thinking or leading. These shifts can become culture-changing because they are owned, not imposed.
Bring SOMA Circuits to Your Organisation
SOMA Circuits are co-facilitated by psychologists Maria Ruberto and Anita Tesoriero, creating a structured and confidential space for teams and leaders to engage in collective Neuro-Reflection.
Salutegenics™ Principal Psychologist Maria Ruberto and Organisational Psychologist Anita Tesoriero bring expertise in neuroscience, psychology, compassion science and reflective practice to support meaningful conversations within organisations.
Circuits can be scheduled monthly or quarterly, depending on organisational need, with options for mixed-role groups or leadership-only Circuits.
