TT10 Week 1 - Coping with Change from CV19 Lockdown (iN-Ed)
This session explores how to cope with imposed change and ways to respond so that we are balanced in our wellbeing. We look at a number of different options to explore the difference between productive and unproductive coping, and ways to make better choices.
TT10 Week 10 - Constructive Conversations with Children
This session explores the concept of conflict with children and how to best respond so that there is an outcome of growth for both parties involved. We unpack the core features of safety and violence, and myths about conflict. We then offer clear and constructive steps toward setting up constructive conflict conversations. We take you through important steps which are easy to apply, and offer a framework of care.
TT10 Week 2 - Managing Blended Spaces in CV19
This session explores the concept of living and managing ourselves in home spaces where we are required to be doing multiple roles at once. We look at the challenges of switching roles from manager to mum, from project officer to dad, and how we do this without contaminating the safety space of our children at home.
TT10 Week 3 - Signs That Your Child May Be Worried or Anxious
This session explores the physiological function and response to stress in our bodies. We look at the signs and symptoms, and then unpack the healthy stress from the unhealthy states. We also add in simple but functional strategies to help settle the mind and also the body. This is a foundational session with important points of information for all adults.
TT10 Week 4 - Soothing Through Co-connections
This session explores how we can help children regulate their nervous systems to improve their coping strategies. We take a close look at what causes dysregulation like tantrums, aggression and strong resistance, and then offer some stabilising tools primarily through the soothing of calm connections and re-directions.
TT10 Week 5 - The Wheel of Wellbeing
This session explores the Wheel of Wellbeing and takes you through the nine elements to build mental fitness. Each of the nine elements is backed by research and we look at practical tools to use so that it buffers against languishing, and improve our overall health. There was no handout for this session. Instead, we have a poster set for purchase of the model in full colour and definition for the study space or work space.
TT10 Week 6 - Creating Calm Sleep in Lockdown
This session explores the fundamental need for sleep and how it impacts brain health. We look at what happens when it is compromised and then introduce an overview into sleep hygiene with some important facts to remember about achieving good quality sleep.
TT10 Week 7 - Understanding the Circles of Emotions
This session explores the principles of internal human experience and that emotions are key drivers of our wellbeing. We look at states of both regulated and unregulated emotions and the role they play in how we grow and adapt into our environments and the impact on maturity and development. We explain the quadrant approach to emotional nurturing and the simple steps to ensure we activate this in our parenting style.
TT10 Week 8 - Play and Pleasant Emotions
This session explores the vital importance of play and the difference between solitary and collaborative play. Striking information to understand how play is exercise for the brain and develops mental fitness at an early age. We look at the different styles of play and the impact on psychological development, and the need to encourage more play throughout the developing years.
TT10 Week 9 - Managing Moods Through Movement
This session explores how we can use our bodies in strong ways to build our mental health. We unpack the benefits of exercise through the lens of brain health. We take a focus on how to make movement meaningful and how to think about moving to increase our mood, choices and levels of positive energy.
